Official Campaign Announcement

I’m proud to announce my candidacy for the District Four Council Seat.

I’m a Rhode Island native who studied political science and psychology at the University of Rhode Island before starting a successful career in IT Project Management. Now I’m ready embrace the challenges of working with and for the public to improve our community, while keeping a steady eye on budgets and timelines.

I love Cumberland because it represents the best of the past, present, and future greatness of Rhode Island. In our town, we have independent businesses that serve their community, natural resources that connect us to each other and the environment, and a diverse cross-section of people that keep us flourishing even in the hardest of times. We need leaders who put community first and work to keep Cumberland thriving for years to come.

As a candidate, I plan to focus on the initiatives and issues that directly impact residents and their quality of life – open space and recreation, public safety, and education.

I’m an avid supporter of the Cumberland Land Trust and hike their trails frequently. On the Council, I would continue Cumberland’s preservation of open spaces and support of the Land Trust. I’m also passionate about expanding recreational activities throughout Town.

I would be a strong advocate for advancing new, accessible recreational opportunities and ensuring that the Diamond Hill Park revitalization project is completed on-time and on-budget.

As a growing community, public safety and traffic issues are critical to resident quality of life and neighborhood health. I would work to reduce traffic issues by prioritizing evidence-based traffic calming measures and public safety strategies. I also supports curbing door to door solicitation through common sense regulation.

District Four is home to a Blue Ribbon School and education continues to be a cornerstone of the Cumberland community. I’m committed to building upon the teaching and learning success at Cumberland schools while responsibly planning for capital improvements, such as the school infrastructure bonds and the successful projects like the Community School playground.

I am proud to be a Cumberland resident and look forward to helping the community continue to thrive.
