Find Your District(s)

While walking around to get signatures to be on the ballot (and in conversations since then), many folks have asked what district they are in or how to find out.

It's a question that is easy and not easy to answer. Like so many maps, the district maps aren't readily described in a few words. There are also different district boundaries for different offices, meaning you need to keep track of where you fall across several districts.

The good news is that the Town of Cumberland website has all of the information you need to know which districts you are in for the primaries and general election. Simply scroll down to the Maps section and choose which map you'd like to see.

While on the site, you can also register to vote, see a list of Declared Candidates, see a list of important election-related dates, and more. (I've included a smaller version of the Town Council district map below as an example of what you'll see.) If the idea of trying to figure out where you fall on all of these maps feels overwhelming, you can go to the Voter Information Center at the RI Department of State's website and search by your address to locate your polling place and a litsting of all districts in which you reside.
